the Panthéon - 9/16 visit

I decided to go back to the Panthéon for a second time but this time actually go inside and upstairs. I made it in time for a quick stroll then got in line for the escorted walk up the stairs. The building was cool inside, but perhaps after Versailles I wasn’t overly impressed. It is a fantastic building and I still find it amazing that men made this. It was completed in 1790 as a church but it serves as a mausoleum. By this point, I’d been to quite a few landmarks. It meant that I could recognize and name the Sacre Couer, the Notre Dame, Invalidies, and Eiffel Tower.

I found a qualified picture taker and asked her to take a picture of me so you can see what I saw when I reached the top. The picture of me on the ledge has a church in the background. It is one of 128 churches in the area. 128. I don’t know what it is called and I didn’t bother to find out either lol.

The view was great but I climbed even higher the next day when I went to Notre Dame. I have quite a bit to say about that trek.

This tumblr was created as a way for me to share with my family and friends what I'm up to on my travels. I'm also hoping that this will help me relive these experiences in the years to come.

I'm new to this but my posts will probably get better as I figure this thing out. I hope you enjoy it :)
